ADO Mini-ExplorersADO Mini-Explorers

The ADO Mini-Explorers are the youngest members of the ADO Academy. ADO Mini Explorers Outdoor Preschool offers a unique learning experience for children between the ages of 2 – 5 years old.
The youngest members of the ADO Academy will learn in a safe and secure environment whilst playing outside in a child-led and play-based natural setting. ADO Mini Explorers follows the Forest School ethos and get to experience fantastic Animal Encounters.

EYFS

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and incorporate it’s outcomes into every aspect of our learning. We believe that children learn best when they are taking risks under supervision and using their imagination. We offer a wonderful nursery garden and outdoor shelter and we are situated two minutes from local woodland. The children are completely immersed in nature and although we spend our time outside we also offer a cosy indoor environment for changing and relaxing.

Children Free Play

Free Play

At Mini-Explorers Preschool we value the children’s ideas and interests and offer child initiated free-play activities alongside our adult initiated activities. The children will be involved in regular planning sessions, so they have the opportunity to influence their own learning. Its a wonderful unique opportunity for your child to experience preschool learning with enjoyable, fun and innovative methods and activities.

Child-Led Play

Child Led play is essential for the development of young children. At Ado Mini-Explorers the children are given the opportunity to create, imagine and explore using their interests and passions. The staff at ADO Mini-Explorers use the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Letters and Sounds Framework to offer children resources and inspiring opportunity’s for play as well as support throughout the day to enable the children’s learning to be purposeful and have a lasting effect throughout the Early Years and beyond. In addition children take part in three adult directed Basecamps throughout the day, including chances to discuss interests and home life as well as learn songs, read stories and play phonics and number games.
